Dr. Gorr specializes in assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults
She will bring a better understanding to the challenges and daily functioning for adults living with attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Her experience includes:


  • 16 years of experience as a teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools
  • 4 years on the National Board of Children and Adults having Attention-Deficit Disorder (CHADD)
  • Founder of the Adult Support Group of Pittsburgh

APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FROM CHILDREN WITH NEUROMUSCULAR DISEASES TO ATTEND ONE OF MORE THAN 90 MDA SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS IN THE UNITED STATES AND PUERTO RICO

Campers enjoy a host of activities:


  • Arts and crafts
  • Horseback riding
  • Adaptive sports
  • Spirit competitions
  • Canoeing
  • Swimming


Trained volunteer counselors assist each child with all of his or her daily activities.

At no cost, all youngsters ages 6 to 17 who are registered for services with MDA can apply for camp. Selections are first come, first served. Families may pick up the forms at their local MDA office.

More information is available on MDA's Web site or through local MDA health care service coordinators.

Volunteer counselors, especially male camp counselors ages 16 and older, are being actively sought for the 2010 season.

The grand prize of $35,000 will be awarded to either an entrepreneur or one early-stage, pre-revenue company in the process of developing a new energy or alternative energy related product/process improvement.
